Create a Bill of Rights
Everyone should have the right to express themselves creatively provided it does not incite violence or hatred.
A Worldwider is someone who has developed a view of the World where they can see that, by working together and sharing our talents and ‘wealth’, we can eliminate many of the World’s problems. They are people who are keen to help others as well as tending to their own needs. They are also people that can laugh at themselves who realise that they are a very small part of a much bigger universe, yet can also make a big change by working together.
But if someone is starving, homeless, jobless or under threat of violence or death or has not yet come to terms with themselves and their weaknesses and strengths, then it will be unlikely that they can afford the luxury of a wider view.
Therefore it should be the aim of all Worldwiders to help other people across the World by using all of our skills and talents to improve community, society, health and environment. By doing this our goal should be to help others trapped by poverty and violence, so that they in turn can help themselves and others.
In this way we could long term help move from a society of ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’ to a more balanced society, where all at least have the opportunity to be contented rather than being destructively ‘needed’ or ‘needy’.
One way of understanding the psychological background was posed by American Psychologist Maslow in 1943 in his ‘Hierarchy of Needs’: see Worldwiders Book...
